3D Print Shop

A modern web application for selling custom 3D-printed products and managing customer print requests. Customers can submit individual 3D printing inquiries, request custom parts, and purchase products through an easy-to-use online shop.

Features

  • Custom 3D Printing Requests – Allow customers to submit inquiries for custom 3D-printed parts and products.
  • Online Shop – Showcase and sell 3D-printed products through a user-friendly web interface.
  • PayPal Integration – Accept payments securely through PayPal.
  • SumUp Integration – Support payments through SumUp.
  • Rechnux Integration – Support integration with Rechnux for invoicing and related workflows.
  • MySQL / MariaDB Support – Store application data in an external MySQL or MariaDB database.
  • Docker Ready – Easy deployment using Docker and container management platforms such as Portainer.
  • Configurable Environment – Configure the database connection, application port, and encryption key using environment variables.

Docker Configuration

Configure the following environment variables when deploying the container:

DB_HOST=your-database-host
DB_PORT=3306
DB_USER=3dshop
DB_PASSWORD=your-secure-database-password
DB_NAME=3dshop

SECRET_KEY=your-64-character-hexadecimal-secret-key

PORT=8080
Environment Variables
VariableDescription
DB_HOSTMySQL / MariaDB server hostname or IP address
DB_PORTDatabase server port
DB_USERDatabase username
DB_PASSWORDDatabase password
DB_NAMEDatabase name; must already exist
SECRET_KEY32-byte encryption key encoded as 64 hexadecimal characters
PORTPort used by the web application

Generate a secure encryption key with:

openssl rand -hex 32

Important: Keep your SECRET_KEY safe and persistent. Changing it may prevent the application from decrypting previously encrypted credentials.

Requirements

  • Docker
  • MySQL or MariaDB server
  • An existing database and a database user with the required permissions
  • Valid API credentials for the payment and invoicing integrations you want to use

Deployment

Deploy the container using Docker Compose, Portainer, or another Docker-compatible platform. Configure the required environment variables and expose the application port as needed.

Note: Payment processing, invoicing, and API functionality depend on the corresponding integrations being implemented and configured in the application.
