Based on the Docker official Python 3.4 image, this image provides:

• jupyter⁠
• numpy⁠
• scipy⁠
• pandas⁠
• matplotlib⁠

⁠How can I and why should I use this image?

⁠Use by Web

• Run

$ docker run --net host -d --name pandas -v /home/ravih:/home/ravih ravihuang/pandas jupyterhub --no-ssl

• Add user

$ docker exec -it pandas bash
$ useradd ravih
$ passwd ravih
$ mkdir /home/ravih
$ chown ravih /home/ravih

• Login with user http://127.0.0.1:8000⁠

• Demo click new->python3

ts = pd.Series(np.random.randn(1000), index=pd.date_range('1/1/2000', periods=1000))
ts = ts.cumsum()

⁠Use by CLI

• Run $ docker run --net host -it --name pandas ravihuang/pandas cli 172.16.5.112

• Demo

>>>ts = pd.Series(np.random.randn(1000), index=pd.date_range('1/1/2000', periods=1000))
ts = ts.cumsum()
ts.plot()
plt.show()

• Others $ docker attach pandas $ docker stop pandas $ docker start -a pandas

⁠jupyter notebook

• Run $ echo "172.16.5.114 localhost" >>/etc/hosts $ docker run --net host -it --name pandas ravihuang/pandas jupyter notebook

• Login with user http://127.0.0.1:8888⁠
