Download the latest version of the image:
docker pull rickronen/snmptools:1.0
To start the container with SNMP and SSH capabilities, run:
docker run -d --name snmp-tools --hostname docker-snmp -p 22:22 -p 161:161/udp -p 162:162/udp rickronen/snmptools:1.0
To connect via SSH (using PuTTY or terminal), run:
ssh root@localhost
🔑 Default Credentials:
rootrad123This container includes full SNMP support (snmpwalk, snmpget, snmptranslate, etc.).
Run a basic SNMP query inside the container:
snmpwalk -v2c -c public localhost
By default, Ubuntu disables MIBs in SNMP tools. Enable them with:
echo "mibs +ALL" >> /etc/snmp/snmp.conf
To listen for SNMP traps on port 162:
snmptrapd -f -Le
You can modify ports, environment variables, and configurations based on your needs.
For example, changing the SSH port to 2222:
docker run -d --name snmp-tools --hostname docker-snmp -p 2222:22 -p 161:161/udp -p 162:162/udp rickronen/snmptools:1.0
