This Docker image provides a TACACS+ authentication server along with SSH access, making it ideal for network authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) testing and deployment.
Built on Rocky Linux 8, the image includes tac_plus and essential networking tools such as:
To download the latest version of the image, use:
docker pull rickronen/tac-plus:1.0
To start a container with TACACS+ and SSH, run:
docker run -d --name tac-plus --hostname tac-plus -p 2222:22 -p 49:49 rickronen/tac-plus:1.0
To access the container via SSH (e.g., using PuTTY or terminal):
ssh root@localhost -p 2222
🔑 Default Credentials:
rootrad123(You can modify this in the container as needed.)
The TACACS+ server is pre-configured with a test user and shared key.

🛠️ Default TACACS+ User Configuration:
rad123ADMINrad1234🔹 You can modify the TACACS+ users, groups, and policies inside /etc/tac_plus.conf to fit your needs.
If you need to run a container with customized ports, environment variables, or configurations, you can modify the docker run command accordingly.
For example, changing the SSH port to 2223:
docker run -d --name tac-plus --hostname tac-plus -p 2223:22 -p 49:49 rickronen/tac-plus:1.0
