⁠Amazon::API

A lightweight Perl interface to Amazon Web Services built around Botocore service metadata.

This image provides a ready-to-use Amazon::API runtime with Amazon::API::Help and Amazon::API::STS preinstalled, making it easy to explore the API or verify AWS connectivity without installing anything locally.

Amazon::API is designed around a small runtime, independently generated AWS service definitions, and ordinary Perl data structures for requests and responses.

⁠Quick Start

With AWS credentials available in $HOME/.aws:

docker run --rm \
  -v "$HOME/.aws:/root/.aws:ro" \
  -e AWS_PROFILE=default \
  rlauer/amazon-api:2.8.0 \
  perl -MAmazon::API::STS -MData::Dumper \
       -e 'print Dumper(Amazon::API::STS->new->GetCallerIdentity)'

To explore the available STS operations:

docker run --rm rlauer/amazon-api:2.8.0 \
  amzn-api-help sts

To inspect a specific operation:

docker run --rm rlauer/amazon-api:2.8.0 \
  amzn-api-help sts GetCallerIdentity
