rlutowsk/postgresql repository overview

Based on bitnami/postgresql⁠ container with the following additions:

1. A cli PostgreSQL client pgcli.
2. Python library psycopg2.
3. Text editor nano.
4. A common linux user sql.

⁠Run

Here's an example docker-compose.yaml data:

services:
  postgresql:
    container_name: postgresql
    image: rlutowsk/postgresql:latest
    ports:
      - '65432:5432'
    volumes:
      - /tmp/sql:/sql
    environment:
      - 'ALLOW_EMPTY_PASSWORD=yes'

⁠Using cli clients

After executing

docker exec -it -e HOME=/home/sql -w /sql -u sql postgresql /bin/bash

on the host machine, you'll be logged in the container in the shared folder /sql.
