This application lets you send the newest episodes of your favorite web series to your kindle.
Copy the docker-compose.yml, init.sql and wait-for-postges.sh into a directory on your server. In the directory with the three files execute:
docker-compose up
The application transfers the books to your Kindle via mail. To allow the application to send mails head to the "Settings" and enter the SendGrid API key and source email address (more info). Next, enter the destination email address of your Kindle (more info). Save and head back to the "Index" page to add your first series.
Click on "Add series" and start by entering the name and author. Next, go to the web series website and copy the url of the table of content site. Determine the css selector via which each chapter link can be identified (you can test this with document.querySelectorAll("<css selector here>")). Click on one chapter and determine the selectors for the title and content (make sure to select the actual paragraphs and not just the outer div). Finally, add the link to a nice cover picture and click "save". The new series should show up on the home page. Click on it and press "Scan table of content" to test the settings. From here on the app will scan for new content every 30 minutes and send you any new chapters to your kindle.
