Supported tags

  • 1.5.1, 1.5.1-fips, latest, latest-fips

The -fips tags are aliases of the same image digest as their unsuffixed counterparts. Every image is built FIPS-ready (see below); the suffix only advertises that fact in the tag.

What is the Rocketgraph xGT License Manager?

The Rocketgraph xGT License Manager is the network license server for the Rocketgraph xGT property graph engine. It runs the LM-X lmx-serv daemon, serving floating and node-locked licenses to xGT instances on your network and providing a web admin interface for monitoring license usage and managing reservations.

The image is built on UBI 9 minimal and is FIPS-ready: it links against the Red Hat UBI OpenSSL cryptographic module so that, when run on a FIPS-enabled RHEL 9 host, all cryptographic operations go through the validated module.

How to use this image

The license server listens on port 6200 (license traffic) and exposes a web admin interface on port 6199. Start a container with:

docker run \
    --publish=6200:6200 \
    --publish=6199:6199 \
    rocketgraph/xgt-license-manager

Point an xGT instance at the server by setting its license host to <this-host>:6200.

The container reads its configuration from /conf, writes logs to /log, and picks up license files from /license. It is helpful to map these directories so configuration and licenses persist across restarts:

$ cd some/directory
$ mkdir -p conf log license
docker run \
    --publish=6200:6200 \
    --publish=6199:6199 \
    --volume=$PWD/conf:/conf \
    --volume=$PWD/log:/log \
    --volume=$PWD/license:/license \
    rocketgraph/xgt-license-manager

On first run the entrypoint copies a default lmx-serv.yaml into /conf if one is not already present. Drop your *.lic license files into the /license volume (or directly into /conf/licenses/) and they are loaded at startup.

Any arguments after the image name are forwarded to lmx-serv:

# Run a license status report against a running server
docker run --rm --entrypoint /opt/xgtd/bin/lmxendutil \
    rocketgraph/xgt-license-manager -licstat -host localhost:6200

License

By downloading, installing or using any of these images you agree to the license agreement for this software.

As with all Docker images, these likely also contain other software which may be under other licenses (such as Bash, etc from the base distribution, along with any direct or indirect dependencies of the primary software being contained).

As for any pre-built image usage, it is the image user's responsibility to ensure that any use of this image complies with any relevant licenses for all software contained within.
