⁠rockgolem/node

rockgolem/node is a docker⁠ base image that bundles selected versions of nodejs⁠ and npm⁠ installed from nodejs.org⁠ that uses google's app engine base linux image.

Recent versions have started to use docker 1.9 which adds support for ARG command allowing build variables.

To build the specified version of node:

docker build --build-args node_version=4.2.3 -t rockgolem/node:4.2.3 .

⁠Usage

• Create a Dockerfile in your nodejs application directory with the following content:

FROM rockgolem/node
ADD package.json npm-shrinkwrap.json* /app/
RUN npm install
ADD . /app
CMD npm start
