rodhash/rhel.latest repository overview

RHEL8 image with few tweaks and useful packages installed, for instance ping, etc.

To pull this image ready to use:

docker pull rodhash/rhel.latest:1.0

SSH Port: 2022

In case you wish to build from scratch, it's set to create your userid automatically with the provided username via argument.

It also adds your SSH-KEY.

So first declare both variables:

export USER_NAME='rodhash'; export USER_PUBLIC_KEY=$(cat ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub)

Then build the continaer:

$ docker build --rm -t rodhash/rhel.latest . --build-arg USER_NAME="$USER_NAME" --build-arg USER_PUBLIC_KEY="$USER_PUBLIC_KEY"

ps: replace "rodhash" by your username so that it can create it automatically.
