  1. RUN As Docker container:

docker run --name OTRS5CONTAINER -d -p 13080:80 -p 13880:8080 -p 13306:3306 --tmpfs /tmp --tmpfs /run -v /sys/fs/cgroup:/sys/fs/cgroup:ro docker.io/rohitbasu77 /otrs5-fedora3

Mariadb runs on port 3306 and http runs on port 80 of container port. ROOT PASSWORD OF MYSQL iS NULL

[NB] OTRS 5.0 was downloaded from: http://ftp.otrs.org/pub/otrs//RPMS/fedora/22/otrs-5.0.42-02.noarch.rpm⁠

  1. Install OTRS instructions:

systemctl restart mariadb;
systemctl restart httpd ;
systemctl status mariadb;
systemctl status httpd;
systemctl enable httpd;
systemctl enable mariadb;

  1. Next steps:

[install the OTRS database and Root user password] Make sure your database server is running. Run ifconfig command to find the docker ip:

Use a web browser and open this link: http://DOCKER_IP/otrs/installer.pl
This will configure the OTRS DB and the root password

  1. The Agent portal is: http://DOCKER⁠ _IP/otrs/index.pl OR http://localhost:13080/otrs/index.pl⁠

  1. The customer Portal is: http://DOCKER⁠ _IP/otrs/customer.pl OR http://localhost:13080/otrs/customer.pl⁠

  1. Finally run the following script as OTRS user to start the daemon and cron jobs]

su otrs

/opt/otrs/bin/otrs.Daemon.pl start;

/opt/otrs/bin/Cron.sh start
