MCP server and CLI for Azure Pipelines guideline analysis.
1.4K
A PoC MCP server to analyze Azure YAML Pipelines Guidelines.
Add and manage the MCP server in VS Code:
{
"servers": {
"adog": {
"type": "stdio",
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"--pull",
"always",
"-e",
"MCP_TRANSPORT=stdio",
"ruijarimba/azure-pipelines-guidelines-mcp:latest"
]
}
}
}
Docker Desktop must be running. After saving the file, start or reload the MCP server from VS Code.
You can then try prompts such as:
Review all Azure Pipelines YAML pipelines and templates in this repository for guideline violations. Summarize findings using a table, if any. Do not suggest fixes.Find guideline violations in this pipeline and suggest corrected YAML for each one.This is a proof of concept developed in the author's spare time. It is not production-ready and is provided as-is, with no guarantees of support, maintenance, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Use at your own risk. Bugs and incomplete behavior are expected. The analyzer cannot automatically enforce every guideline. Results should not be treated as a complete validation of an Azure Pipelines file.
