rvbcrs/hermes-client repository overview

HermesClient — your Hermes AI chats, on any screen

A modern, self-hosted web client for Hermes Agent by Nous Research. Start a conversation from your iPhone, follow an answer on your tablet, or browse your chat history on your computer — all through your own Hermes gateway.

This image runs the web client. Connect it to an existing Hermes installation; Hermes Agent and your model providers are configured separately.

What it does

  • Live conversations: start, continue and stop chats, with streaming answers, typing indicators and tool activity shown in order.
  • Your chat history: browse earlier conversations, follow active Hermes Desktop chats and spot unread answers with a blue dot.
  • Files and photos: add attachments through the + menu or paste an image into the message field. Photos sent through the client remain visible in chat history.
  • Conversation management: search, rename, pin and archive chats.
  • Copy text and code: copy complete messages, code blocks or individual text proposals with one click.
  • Model selection: choose an available model from Settings.
  • Make it yours: Classic, Ion, Prism and Glacier designs, dark and light modes, sepia and adjustable text sizes.
  • Built for smaller screens: a responsive interface, compact chat list and iPhone home-screen support.
  • Four languages: English, Dutch, German and French.
  • Remote sign-in: gateway authentication, including Authelia/OIDC.

Features depend on your Hermes version and connection. File uploads, search, conversation management and active Desktop chat discovery require the matching Hermes dashboard. Image input requires a model that supports it.
