Custom JBoss EAP builder for OpenShift to retrieve prepackaged artifacts from a remote source

⁠Overview

OpenShift provides full lifecycle support for retrieving applications from source control, controlling the build process and deployment. There are cases where an application will be prepackaged by external systems (such as Jenkins). This custom builder fills in this gap and will create a new image consisting of JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and packaging an application by retrieving it from a remote source.

⁠Builder Parameters

The following environment parameters must be available to the builder

$IMAGE_NAME - Final Image Name

$OUTPUT_REGISTRY - Docker Registry

$SRC_APP_URL - URL to the prepackaged application

$SRC_APP_NAME (Optional ) - Final name of the application (Default: ROOT.war)

Note: Docker socket must be available to the builder at /var/run/docker.sock. In OpenShift, this is configured by setting the customBuild
