A docker container for the FME Flow CLI.
2.1K
A command line interface for FME Flow. For details on how to use the CLI, please see https://github.com/safesoftware/fmeflow-cli
To persist the login credentials, mount a local file to use to store the credentials after login. The credentials file will need to be mounted in every time the container is run. The best way to do this is to run the container as a local user. For example:
docker run -it --rm -v /etc/passwd:/etc/passwd:ro -v /etc/group:/etc/group:ro -u 1000:1000 -v /home/ubuntu/code/fmeflow-cli/test.yaml:/home/ubuntu/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml safesoftware/fmeflow-cli login https://my-fmeflow.domain
# test credentials
docker run -it --rm -v /etc/passwd:/etc/passwd:ro -v /etc/group:/etc/group:ro -u 1000:1000 -v /home/ubuntu/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml:/home/ubuntu/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml safesoftware/fmeflow-cli info
In the example above, we are running the command as a local user called ubuntu with uid of 1000 and gid of 1000
You can also run the container as root without having to mount in /etc/passwd and /etc/group:
docker run -it --rm -u 0:0 -v /home/ubuntu/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml:/root/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml safesoftware/fmeflow-cli login https://my-fmeflow.domain
# test credentials
docker run -it --rm -u 0:0 -v /home/ubuntu/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml:/root/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml safesoftware/fmeflow-cli info
This container can also be run on Windows. For example:
docker run -it --rm -u 0:0 -v C:/Users/myUserName/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml:/root/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml safesoftware/fmeflow-cli login https://my-fmeflow.domain
# test credentials
docker run -it --rm -u 0:0 -v C:/Users/myUserName/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml:/root/.config/.fmeflow-cli.yaml safesoftware/fmeflow-cli info
