just-httpie is intended to be used in command-line driven integrations where you need something like cURL, but less verbose.
Github repo here
docker run --rm saltaaron/just-httpie get https://httpbin.org/anything
note: the output is intentionally not pretty-printed nor colorized because those options can mess with CLI processing. To see the default httpie client behavior, add the --pretty all flag. Also, because Docker alters how STDIN is handled, the default get behavior when not specifying the method will show up as a post.
just-httpie and just-jq are really useful for CI/CD flows where you want to check the output of your API and validate outputs match expectations. To chain them together, here's an example:
HOST=$(docker run --rm saltaaron/just-httpie httpbin.org/anything | docker run --rm -i saltaaron/just-jq -r .headers.Host)
if [ $HOST != 'httpbin.org' ] ; then
note that when chaining, you need to add Docker's -i/--interactive flag.
