A simple container for temporary port forwards using haproxy.

⁠Environment Variables

Requires the following ENV variables:

  • INCOMING_PORT - what port are we forwarding
  • HOST - Where are we forwarding this to?
  • HOST_PORT - What port on the host are we forwarding to?

Values are plugged into the haproxy.conf:

listen l1
    bind 0.0.0.0:$INCOMING_PORT
    mode tcp
    timeout connect  4000
    timeout client   180000
    timeout server   180000
    server srv1 $HOST:$HOST_PORT

⁠Usage

docker run \
    --name mysql_proxy \
    -p 33060:33060 \
    -e INCOMING_PORT=33060 \
    -e HOST=192.168.9.161 \
    -e HOST_PORT=3306 \
    provisional-proxy:latest
