As of 24 July 2026, c-lightning-REST is no longer maintained. The source repository is archived and there will be no further updates, including no security fixes. 0.10.8 is the final tag.

These images are built on node:16-alpine. Node.js 16 reached end of life in September 2023 and receives no patches, so every published tag here ships an unpatched runtime. This server holds unrestricted JSON-RPC access to a Core Lightning node that holds funds.

Do not deploy this. Use clnrest⁠ instead — it ships with Core Lightning, is maintained by the CLN team, and exposes the full JSON-RPC surface over HTTP. Add clnrest-port=3010 to your CLN config; there is nothing separate to install or run.

Existing tags remain published so current installs keep working, but they will not be rebuilt or patched.
