⁠To create psycopg2 AWS lambda layers

  • This example works for python-version 3.11 in aws lambda Runtime, for other version update python-version in the command
  • The zipped layer can be found in your current directory/psycopg2-layer/psycopg2-layer.zip
docker run --name psycopg-launcher --rm -ti \
--mount src="$(pwd)",target=/data,type=bind scadip/psycopg2:3.11 bash -c "mkdir -p /data/psycopg2-layer/python && cd /data/psycopg2-layer/python && pip3 install --platform manylinux2014_x86_64 --target . --python-version 3.11 --only-binary=:all: psycopg2-binary && cd .. && zip -r psycopg2-layer.zip python"
