scramjetorg/sth repository overview

What is Scramjet Transform Hub?

Scramjet Transform Hub (STH) is a distributed data processing platform that allows you to deploy, run and integrate data on demand and between separately contained environments as Sequences. STH also has the ability to run several programs simultaneously in multiple programming languages and can transfer data between the Instances as running Sequences through Topics either by retrieving or providing an object in the source code or through an API endpoint.

Visit Scramjet's Get Started section for information on how to run a Sequence on Scramjet Transform Hub.
For more information on Scramjet's si command lines check CLI reference section on Scramjet's website.

Get this image

The recommended way to get the Scramjet Transform Hub Docker Image is to pull the prebuilt image from the Docker Hub Registry.

docker pull scramjetorg/sth

Run STH in a Docker container and expose the port using docker container networking for communication with the STH, while using "process" adapter for running Sequences.

docker run -ti -p 127.0.0.1:8000:8000 scramjetorg/sth

Run STH in a Docker container and expose the port using for communication with the STH, while using "docker" adapter for running Sequences.

docker run -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock -ti -p 127.0.0.1:8000:8000 scramjetorg/sth

Run Scramjet Transform Hub in a Docker container with a configuration file:

Step 1:

Create sth-config.json file with the following values in the case of using non default ports:

Configuration variables:

{
    "host": {
        "hostname": "0.0.0.0",
        "port": 9002,
        "instancesServerPort": 9003,
        "id": "SELF_HUB-tags"
    },
    "description": "lorem lorem ipsum",
    "tags": ["lorem", "ipsum"],
    "customName": "my Sth",
    "timings": {
        "instanceLifetimeExtensionDelay": 10000
    }
}

Step 2:

Run the Scramjet Transform Hub image while mounting the directory for the sth-config.json file from your host into the container and expose the non defaulted port for communicating with the STH.

docker run -ti -p 127.0.0.1:8000:9002 -v /path/to/sth-config-folder:/sth scramjetorg/sth sth -c /sth/sth-config.json # STH port 9002
