servuc/hash_extractor repository overview

Hash_Extractor

Start with swarm

docker build -t servuc/hash_extractor:latest .
docker stack deploy --prune --compose-file docker-compose.yml my-stack
docker stack rm my-stack

Start as slave only (for testing with wscat(npm) for example)

docker run -ti --network host --rm servuc/hash_extractor:latest s ws://127.0.0.1:3000
Command usage for slave
./hash_extractor s [ADDR]

ADDR is optional. By default : ws://127.0.0.1:3000. It's complete address to websocket.

Websocket messages

In message are send to slave. Out message are send from slave to master.

Examples

I use wscat to simulate a websocket server :

$ wscat -l 3000
listening on port 3000 (press CTRL+C to quit)
client connected
< slave
//When slave is connected to websocket, it sends "slave"
> search cad77c7dffc10fcacc77ff0690f2897a a 9999
< found cad77c7dffc10fcacc77ff0690f2897a pina
//Between a and 9999, slave found word "pina"
> search cad77c7dffc10fcacc77ff0690f2897a a eeee
< notfound cad77c7dffc10fcacc77ff0690f2897a eeee
//Between a and eeee, slave can't find word "pina"
> search cad77c7dffc10fcacc77ff0690f2897a eeef 9999
< found cad77c7dffc10fcacc77ff0690f2897a pina
//Between eeef and 9999, slave found word "pina"
search (In)
search MD5_HASH BEGIN END

Brute-force all words between BEGIN and END. Alphabet use respond to regex [a-zA-Z0-9].

If solution is find, message found is returned.

stop (In)
stop

Stop searching. If no searching is already start, nothing is done.

exit (In)
exit

Exit slave client.

found (Out)
found MD5_HASH SOLUTION

When brute-force is done successfully, slave return that message. MD5_HASH is original hash, SOLUTION corresponding to string that solution = md5( md5_hash).

notfound (Out)
notfound MD5_HASH SOLUTION

When brute-force doesn't find solution and don't have receive exit or stop yet, it returns that message.

Command usage for checking
./hash_extractor c

With env var : MASTER_WS=ws://server:3000, give next compose example :

services:
  hash_checker:
    image: servuc/hash_extractor:latest
    privileged: true
    networks:
      - hash_net
    command: ["c"]
    restart: on-failure
    environment:
      MASTER_WS: 'http://hash_master:3000'
    volumes:
      - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock
      - /tmp/hash_output/:/app/output/

Program will start by sending client and search [MD5_CONTENT], waiting response like found [MD5_CONTENT] [PASSWORD]
