setfire/postfix-alpine repository overview

postfix-alpine

This repository aims at delivering the latest Postfix version on top of the latest stable Alpine Linux image. It makes it possible to take full control over the Postfix configuration. The tag names include the Postfix version before the dash and the Alpine version after the dash. For example the tag 3.8.5-3.19.1 means Postfix 3.8.5 on Alpine Linux 3.19.1.

The command

docker run -d \
   --name postfix-alpine \
   -p 25:25 \
   -e TZ=UTC \
   -v /container/postfix/conf:/etc/postfix \
   -v /container/postfix/spool:/var/spool/postfix \
   setfire/postfix-alpine:3.8.5-3.19.1

would spawn a new container named postfix-alpine. The Postfix default configuration would be written to /container/postfix/conf. The configuration can then be amended like if Postfix would run on the host system. The configuration could be reloaded with the command docker exec postfix-alpine postfix reload. There no is no warranty for using this image. Use at your own risk.
