A simple NodeJS webapp that returns a response with a value equal to that of an environment variable
531
Set the WORLD environment variable to your desired value. The NodeJS web app will return a response with the string 'Hello {WORLD}' where {WORLD} is the value of the WORLD environment variable.
Map external port to docker container internal port 8080 where the NodeJS app listens on.
e.g. docker run -p 80:8080 -e WORLD=FOO shoganator/helloenv:1.0.0
Useful for testing ingress controller rules and Kubernetes services in different 'environments' or namespaces where you need to see a different response value for different hostnames/paths.
