Linux C/C++ build image (Ubuntu 22.04, build-essential/cmake/git) for the Hopper hvy build system
10K+
Native Linux C/C++ build image for the Hopper team's
hvy build system. Used to build the Connect3
plugins, the desktop unit tests (DCM / TCB / sequence validator), and the host-side protobuf
toolchain. Published so team members can pull a prebuilt image instead of building it locally.
Multi-arch: linux/amd64 + linux/arm64. ~450 MB per arch (~150 MB compressed pull).
Ubuntu 22.04 + build-essential (GCC, g++, make, libc6-dev), cmake, git, python3,
ca-certificates.
protobuf is not installed from apt: every protoc call in the Hopper workspace uses the
statically-built protobuf produced from source by the build-protobuf task, so the system
package would only add weight.
22.04 — pinned to the Ubuntu base version (preferred for reproducible builds)latestdocker pull sibkru/hopper-hvy-linux-cpp:22.04
Contains GPLv3 / LGPL / BSD / permissive-licensed components, all unmodified from the Ubuntu
22.04 archive: build-essential (GCC GPLv3 + GCC Runtime Library Exception, binutils, make),
glibc (LGPL), git (GPLv2), cmake (BSD-3-Clause), python3 (PSF). Per-package notices ship
inside the image under /usr/share/doc/*/copyright.
Corresponding source for the GPL components is available from the standard Ubuntu source
archives (e.g. apt-get source <pkg> or http://archive.ubuntu.com).
The Dockerfile documents the exact package set.
This image bundles unmodified Ubuntu packages and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Canonical Ltd.
