⁠How to extend this image

⁠Environment Variables

The tomcat image uses several environment variables which are easy to miss. While none of the variables are required, they may significantly aid you in using the image.

⁠TOMCAT_USER

Sets the tomcat manager username (default: admin).

⁠TOMCAT_PWD

Sets the tomcat manager password (default: admin).

⁠TOMCAT_XMX

Sets the Java Xmx property (default: 768M).

⁠TOMCAT_HTTP_PORT

Sets the tomcat http port (default: 8080).

⁠TOMCAT_HTTPS_PORT

Sets the tomcat https port (default: 8443).

⁠TOMCAT_AJP_PORT

Sets the tomcat ajp port (default: 8009).

⁠TOMCAT_PORT

Sets the tomcat shutdown port (default: 8005).

⁠TOMCAT_LOGDAYS

Sets the number of days for logrotation (default: 30).

⁠TOMCAT_KEYSTORE

A base64 encoded binary which contains the Java keystore (default: none).

⁠TOMCAT_KEYSTORE_PWD

The Java keystore password (default: none).

⁠TOMCAT_EXTRA_JAVA_OPTS

Additional Java command line options (default: none) (starting with 9.0.105v2).
