Freequence is a music server you run yourself. Point it at a folder of songs, open the website, and press play. The same server also works with phone apps such as Symfonium and DSub.
You do not need the source code. This image is the whole app.
Save this as docker-compose.yml, put your music in a music folder next to it, then run docker compose up -d.

Open http://localhost:4533. The first visit asks you to create the administrator. Later visits are a normal sign-in.
Freequence reads MP3, FLAC, OGG, Opus, M4A, MP4, WAV, WMA, and AAC. It notices new files on its own. You can add more folders later from Settings. Your music folder stays read-only, so the original files are left alone.
Open Settings, then Remote & Mobile. In your music app, the server address is http://<your-computer>:4533 with nothing after it. Sign in with your username and password, or with the API key shown on that page.
The website also works in a phone browser.
The freequence-data volume is where accounts, playlists, and artwork are saved. Leave it in place when you update. Deleting it starts you over, and the next visit asks you to create the administrator again.
