Supported tags and Versioning

Image tags adhere to <major>.<minor>.<patch>.<revision> format.

<major>.<minor>.<patch>.<revision> points to a specific version. <Major>.<Minor> always points to the latest version. This version is compatible with all previous images of the same <Major>.<Minor> version. <latest> always points to the latest version, but such a version might require service and project database schema updates. For loading the latest but compatible version, we recommend to pull a <Major>.<Minor> with

docker pull skilja/sitemanagement:<Major>.<Minor>

What is the Site Management Tool?

The Site Management Tool is a command line tool that allows maintaining users and groups assignments for license management, organization administrator, and site administrator roles and allows maintaining organizations.

The roles and user assignments are needed when you enable user authentication for your installation to have access control and define user rights for the installed applicatio

When the following Services is started for the first time, users do not have any permissions assigned by default.

How to use this image

The following sample shows how to run the Site Management Tool:

1. Create the needed envfile.txt

Just add your DB connections to the variables and that's it.
Leave *_HASAUTHENABLED=true

2. Pull and start the Site Management CLI tool in interactive mode:

docker pull skilja/sitemanagement
docker run -it --env-file envfile.txt skilja/sitemanagement:8.0

3. Configure user assignments and organizations in the Site Management CLI tool.

After the tool starts, select the application or service that you want to configure.

Depending on the selected module, you can manage:

  • license managers
  • organization admins
  • organizations

Multiple selections are possible by entering one or more numbers. To clear a selected item, reenter the corresponding number.
Press ENTER to continue.

For license managers and organization admins, you can:

  • list assigned users

  • remove an existing organization
  • edit an organization and manage its assigned organization admins

When adding a new user or group assignment, provide:

  • the role identifier from the Process Authorization Server
  • the user name from the Process Authorization Server
  • 0 for a user or 1 for a group

To save the changes, type y or yes and press ENTER. To cancel without saving, press ENTER.

Environment Variables

The Site Management image uses several environment variables, of which all are required. Currently, not needed modules / env variabled can't be removed. Otherwise the tool doesent start up properly. Just leave the not needed parts empty. Also leave *_HASAUTHENABLED=true

The variables are grouped into their respective modules.

  • EXTRDESIGNER_ — Extraction Designer
  • EXTRSERVICE_ — Extraction Service
  • OLEXTR_ — Online Extraction Monitor
  • CLSDESIGNER_ — Classification Designer
  • CLSSERVICE_ — Classification Service
  • OLCLS_ — Online Classification Monitor

If you want to configure the Classification Designer e.g, you need to adjust the CLSDESIGNER_* env vars and so on.
