Talaria is a basic chat application for use between friends.
The repository can be cloned locally using the following Git command:
git clone https://bitbucket.org/olympus-team/olympus-talaria-v2.git
And can be built from the command line with the following commands:
Windows
set CI=true
powershell .\build.ps1
Linux
CI=true
chmod +x build.sh
./build.sh
Note: You must set the environment variable
CIto betruein order to disable watch mode in the React client tests.
You have two options for launching the API service:
Talaria.Api project as the startup project, and then hit F5 on the keyboard to launch with a debugger attached (or Ctrl+F5 to launch without attaching a debugger).dotnet-cli tools installed, navigate to the root directory for the repository and run the following command:dotnet run -p Talaria.Api\Talaria.Api.csproj
To launch the client, open the command line and navigate to the project directory under the root of the repository (i.e. the talaria-react-client folder) and run the following command:
npm start
This will launch the client in watch mode; which means that if you make any changes to any of the source files and save the changes, the app will be automatically rebuilt and refreshed in the browser. If you wish to run the app without watch mode enabled, then run the following commands:
# First make sure to build the app in production mode:
npm run build
# And then serve the build folder
serve -s build
Adding a migration:
dotnet ef migrations add <migration name>
Running migrations
dotnet ef migrations update
Ef will take models that are registered against the context and create the migrations for you.
This project is owned and controlled by Samuel Slade and is developed by the himself and Andrew Goacher.
