solocal/fluentd repository overview

Dockerfiles

Various docker images

CONFIGURATION - Configure DockerHub automated builds

We will use k8s-keycloak image as example here.

In this repo :

  • Create a directory (=image name) in this repo. Ex : k8s-keycloak
  • Add the Dockerfile used to build your image to this directory

In docker hub :

  • Create automated build on docker hub pointing on this repo (bridge-docker), with the name of your image.
  • Configure Build Settings to match you directory : Type : Tag Source: /^k8s-keycloak-([0-9.]+)/ Dockerfile Location: Dockerfile Docker Tag Name: latest Build context: /k8s-keycloak

AND

Type : Tag Source: /^k8s-keycloak-([0-9.]+)/ Dockerfile Location: Dockerfile Docker Tag Name: {\1} Build context: /k8s-keycloak

RELEASE - How to release a new version of an image

Once your commit is merged to master, and you have locally pulled master : Release your project with the name of your image and version (<imagename>-<version>), and use the same tag name.

Example for k8s-keycloak-1.0.0 :

git checkout master && git pull
git tag -a k8s-keycloak-1.0.0
git push origin k8s-keycloak-1.0.0

If the CONFIGURATION step has been done properly, it will automatically build et push the docker image in docker hub with latest and version tags.
