on windows you will require a XWindows App like XLaunch on windows you should start the container like this:

docker run --shm-size=2G -ti --rm -d -e DISPLAY=:0.0 someoneatsomeplace/firefox-ubuntu:latest

on linux systems start the container like this:

xhost +local : docker run -ti --rm -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY --shm-size 2G -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix someoneatsomeplace/firefox-ubuntu:latest
