Redshift render docker image

Redshift (https://www.redshift3d.com) is a rendering engine for biased GPU rendering. Demo version of Redshift is used. It's fully functional, but there are watermarks on the image rendered. Rendering results are converted to png format using exrtopng tool.

Prerequisites

Docker 1.12 or higher Nvidia GPU Up-to-date Nvidia drivers nvidia-docker2

Rendering image

docker run -it --name=redshift --runtime=nvidia -e URL=<tar.gz-OR-zip-file-with-data> -e FILE= sonm/redshift3d docker cp redshift:/root/result.png . docker rm redshift

Environment parameters (passed through -e option in docker run command):

  • URL - points to the archive, containing .rs file, textures and other supplementary files, needed to render. Optional, if omitted, official benchmark scene Vultures.rs is used.
  • FILE - .rs file in archive to render. If omitted, the first .rs file in archive is used
  • BENCHMARK - perform benchmark run instead of rendering

Running benchmark

docker run -it --rm --runtime=nvidia -e BENCHMARK sonm/redshift3d

You can compare your benchmark to the official https://www.redshift3d.com/forums/viewthread/12843/
