soon/awscli repository overview

Allows you to run awscli command from within a Docker container.

Current Latest Version: 1.11.26

⁠Usage

Couldn't be simpler:

docker run --rm -it soon/awscli sqs help

⁠Build Details

This Image uses Alpine Linux - A thin linux OS resulting in small image sizes. An aws user has been created so this container does not run as root.

Default entrypoint is aws and the default command is help.

A /home/aws/.aws volume has been exposed for credential storage.

⁠No entrypoint

If you need an image without an entrypoint set you can use the noep- prefix image tags. For example:

docker run --rm -it soon/awscli:noep-latest aws sqs help

⁠Credentials

The standard mechanisms for passing in credentials are supported. See https://pypi.python.org/pypi/awscli⁠ for further configuration options.

⁠Credentials File

docker run --rm -it -v ~/.aws:~/.aws soon/awscli sqs help

⁠Environment Variables

docker run --rm -it -e AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=abc -e AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=def soon/awscli sqs help
