The is an official beta release of SplendidCRM Enterprise 15.0 within a docker container. It is an ASP.NET Core 6 build that has its entire UI in React. This release requires SQL Server, either 2022 or 2017. SQL Server can be within a docker container, a local instance or on Azure. If you are going to use this implementation in production, make sure to setup SQL Server to backup its database on a regular basis.

We have hard coded the database connection string to use a service named splendidcrm_db and a sa password of SplendidCRM2005:

 data source=splendidcrm_db;initial catalog=SplendidCRM;persist security info=True;packet size=4096;user id=sa;password=SplendidCRM2005

You can change this in the appsettings.json file as desired.

When the app first loads, it will create the SplendidCRM database in SQL Server if it does not already exist. If the database has no tables, it will populate using the Build.sql file in the App_Data folder. (We have separated out the ZipCode database SQL as it alone takes 20 minutes to load). In our tests, it otherwise takes about 25 minutes to create and SplendidCRM database for use. While the database is being created, you will only see a progress indicator in the browser with the last run SQL statement below the progress.

When using compose to build the two containers, we found it best to wait until the SQL Server container reports in the console window that "Recovery is complete." This only takes a minute. Afterward, you can navigate to the SplendidCRM web server and it will being the database creation process.
