⁠Running Sqlisor

⁠Pull the repository

docker pull sqlisor/sqlisor-beta

⁠Connect to demo AWS database with read-only access to demobld.sql tables

docker run --rm --network="host" -it sqlisor/sqlisor-beta scott/[email protected]:5432/demo

⁠Install Postgres trusted Perl extension

psql> create extension plperl;

⁠Connect to local database ia

docker run --rm --network="host" -it sqlisor/sqlisor-beta admin_user/secret@ia

⁠Run demo.sql in the current directory

docker run --rm -v $(pwd):/sqlisor --network="host" -it sqlisor/sqlisor-beta admin_user/secret@ia @demo

⁠Map history file to the current directory

docker run --rm -v $(pwd):/root --network="host" -it sqlisor/sqlisor-beta admin_user/secret@ia

⁠Creating a Postgres docker container with Perl

⁠File: dockerfile_postgres_11_with_perl

FROM postgres:11 RUN apt-get update
&& apt-get install -y postgresql-plperl-11
&& rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*

⁠Build image

docker build -t postgres_11_with_perl -f dockerfile_postgres_11_with_perl .

⁠Run Postgres container

docker run --name pg_11 -e POSTGRES_PASSWORD=secret -d -p 5432:5432 -v $HOME/docker/volumes/postgres:/var/lib/postgresql/data postgres_11_with_perl

⁠Connect to Postgres as superuser

docker run --rm --network="host" -it sqlisor/sqlisor-beta postgres/secret@postgres
