⁠Google Nest Camera to Telegram Sync

Syncs Google Nest camera videos to Telegram with event types (person, package, animal, vehicle, motion, sound).

For personal or educational use only.

⁠Quick Start

⁠1. Get Google Master Token
docker run --rm -it breph/ha-google-home_get-token

Tip: Use an app-specific password from https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords⁠

⁠2. Create .env File

⁠How It Works

  1. Polls every 2 minutes (configurable)
  2. Fetches events from Google Home API (last 3 hours)
  3. Downloads video clips from Nest API
  4. Sends to Telegram with event type and timestamp
  5. Tracks sent events to prevent duplicates

⁠Getting Credentials

Telegram Bot Token: Message @BotFather⁠, send /newbot

Telegram Channel ID: Forward a channel message to @userinfobot⁠

Google Master Token:

⁠Troubleshooting

Check logs: docker compose logs -f nest-sync

  • No videos? Check that all 4 required env vars are set
  • Wrong timezone? Set TIMEZONE in .env
  • Testing? Set DRY_RUN=true and LOG_LEVEL=DEBUG
