⁠Stimulsoft Server

Stimulsoft Server is a client-server system that allows you to effectively implement a full cycle of working with reports and dashboards that starts from the designing and automation of execution information processing tasks and ends on preparing for convenient presentation of results to users. The Stimulsoft Server image for Docker does not require complex configuration and is ready to work almost immediately. The image already has everything installed and configured that is needed to launch and operate the Server on any operating system that supports Docker.

⁠Run container

To start the Stimulsoft Server from the image, simply run the docker command with the following arguments:

docker run --name=stimulsoft-server -p 8080:8080 stimulsoft/server:latest

⁠Select database

To select the database type and pass the database connection string to the Stimulsoft Server, you should to use environment variables:

docker run --name=stimulsoft-server -p 8080:8080 -e Storage__DatabaseType="MySql" -e Storage__MySqlConnectionString="Server=host.docker.internal; port=3306; Database=server; UserId=root; Pwd=123456;" stimulsoft/server:latest

After executing this command, you can follow the link http://localhost:8080/⁠ and see the Server administrator creation window or the login window.

⁠Docker compose

The docker-compose.yml file for running Stimulsoft Server together with the MySQL database can be made as follows. After that, it is enough to call the docker compose up command in the working directory with this file:

  server:
    image: stimulsoft/server:latest
    ports:
      - 8080:8080
    volumes:
      - ./stimulsoft-server:/var/lib/stimulsoft-server
    environment:
      Storage__DatabaseType: "MySql"
      Storage__MySqlConnectionString: "Server=mysql; port=3306; Database=server; UserId=root; Pwd=123456;"
  
  mysql:
    image: mysql:8.0
    ports:
      - 3306:3306
    volumes:
      - './mysql:/var/lib/mysql'
    environment:
      MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD: "123456"
      MYSQL_DATABASE: "server"

After executing this command, you can follow the link http://localhost:8080/⁠ and see the Server administrator creation window or the login window.
