strangeranger/nadeko-manager-testing repository overview

Nadeko Manager Testing Docker Images

This repository hosts a single Docker image—strangeranger/nadeko-manager-testing—that offers multiple tags, each representing a different Linux distribution along with its supported architectures. Each tagged image provides a ready-to-use environment for testing and developing the Nadeko Manager scripts, with all containers running in the background (i.e., detached mode). Use docker exec to access any running container.

Available Tags

Each tag corresponds to a Linux distribution and its supported architectures:

  • almalinux-8 (amd64, arm64)
  • almalinux-9 (amd64, arm64)
  • arch (amd64)
  • debian-12 (amd64, arm64)
  • fedora-40 (amd64, arm64)
  • fedora-41 (amd64, arm64)
  • linuxmint-21 (amd64)
  • linuxmint-22 (amd64)
  • opensuse-leap-15.6 (amd64, arm64)
  • opensuse-tumbleweed (amd64, arm64)
  • rocky-8 (amd64, arm64)
  • rocky-9 (amd64, arm64)
  • ubuntu-22.04 (amd64, arm64)
  • ubuntu-24.04 (amd64, arm64)

How to Use

For any desired distribution, follow these steps:

  1. Pull the Image with the Appropriate Tag

Replace <tag> with the desired distribution tag (e.g., arch, ubuntu-22.04):

    docker pull strangeranger/nadeko-manager-testing:<tag>

  2. Run the Container in Detached Mode

This starts the container in the background:

docker run --privileged --rm -d strangeranger/nadeko-manager-testing:<tag>

  3. Access the Running Container

Retrieve the container ID (if needed) and then attach to it:

    docker exec -u nadeko -it <container_id> /bin/bash

  4. Inside the Container

    • Run the Bridge Script:

      ./m-bridge.bash

Follow the prompts to set up and run NadekoBot.

  5. Shutdown the Container When Finished

    To stop the container, execute:

    sudo shutdown now

(Note: Since the container was started with --rm, it will be automatically removed upon shutdown.)
