⁠Atlantis

Atlantis is a self-hosted Mermaid.js diagramming application built with Next.js and Shadcn UI. It provides a modern split-pane diagram editor with code and live preview, supporting all Mermaid.js diagram types. Diagrams are saved as local JSON files, making backup and self-hosting straightforward.

⁠Quick Start

docker pull strikead/atlantis:latest
docker run -d \
  --name atlantis \
  -p 3000:3000 \
  -v $(pwd)/data:/app/data \
  --restart unless-stopped \
  strikead/atlantis:latest

Visit http://localhost:3000⁠ in your browser.

⁠Configuration

• Data is stored by default in /app/data/diagrams.json.
• Customize storage by setting ATLANTIS_DATA_DIR.

⁠Docker Compose Example

services:
  atlantis:
    image: strikead/atlantis:latest
    ports:
      - "3000:3000"
    volumes:
      - ./data:/app/data
    restart: unless-stopped

⁠Backup and Restore

You can back up or restore all diagrams via the application settings in the UI.

⁠API Access

Enable the REST API by setting ENABLE_API_ACCESS=true. API documentation will be available at /docs.

⁠Versioning

• latest: Most recent stable release
• vX.Y.Z: Specific releases
• sha-xxxx: Development builds from source
