sturm88x4/mysql-backup repository overview

The idea of this Container is to do mysql backup inside a container to a filesystem outside. The container termiantes after being done with backups. The container backs up to /backup which is a volume that you can bind a host directory to. It expects to Environment variables MYSQL_USER and MYSQL_PASSWORD to tell the container how to authenticate against a container that is linked (inside by the name of what ever you give as first parameter) so e.g. docker run -a STDOUT -a STDERR -v /backup/mysql:/backup --rm --link mysql:mysql -e MYSQL_USER=root -e MYSQL_PASSWORD=soInsecure sturm88x4/mysql-backup:latest mysql
