I'm not a behavior scientist, but a software developer, trying to help (autistic) people visualize their life. This method is not based on any scientific research.
Anyone from social sciences who likes to provide feedback, feel free to provide improvement suggestions.
People tend to underestimate the power of knowledge. For example, starting with running seems pretty straight forward. However, half an hour on a park bench studying the running techniques of people passing by will reveil that there is much more to something even a three year old is able to do. In everything you do in life, invest a small percentage of the time spend on it, to gain more knowledge on it and things will improve.
Mornings are sacred, you'll do your morning routine 9 out of 10 times. Evening routines are nice to haves, they can fluctuate. Plan your Must haves in the morning and your Should and Could haves in the evenings.
First plan you big rocks, followed by things that give you energy and end with energy drainers. Plan cognitive intensive (brainpower) tasks in the morning, the repetitive tasks later.
We have a persona/identity/role, which has goals defined. For each goal we define activities which we put in routines, forming habits.
Role -> Goal -> activity -> routine
Parent -> Spend time \w kid -> read bedtime story -> incorporate in bedtime routine
-> do DIY project -> weekend
For each goal we can calculate how much time you spend on it by looking at the duration of the activity and the frequency it occures per week.
Who do you want to be as a person in that role and can you be that person in your current environment in that role? E.g. does your work allow you to be the type of employee you want to be? Does your spouse enables you the partner you wish to be?

Mental Experience
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps us move towards what we want. We are in the center observing, seeing (sensory) the things that drive us away from what we want; avoiding hard tasks and destructive patterns. On the other side we have the constructive patterns, our habits.
The outward is controlled from the inward, our mental state and experiences. Inner thoughts and feelings such as fear of regret, doubt, confusion and anxiety, are causing us to be inactive or do destructive behavior. E.g. procrastination can be a form of stress relief.
Our values help us to determine what/who is important to us. This translates into goals, where we work by setting constructive habits.
