⁠Plex Proxy

Its a small node.js based proxy server app developed by Orca. Its build to act as a middleware proxy server to transfer authentication requests between plex app for older smart tv models and official plex.tv website.

⁠How to Create the container (AMD64 based):

docker create \
  --name=plexproxy \
  -p 3000:3000 \
  --restart unless-stopped \
  tahirzia/plexproxy

⁠In case you are on ARM based system like Raspberry pi, you have to get the arm64 based image

docker create \
  --name=plexproxy \
  -p 3000:3000 \
  --restart unless-stopped \
  tahirzia/plexproxy:arm64

⁠How to start the container

docker start plexproxy

⁠How to Stop docker container

docker stop plexproxy

To Access and see if plex proxy is running, open web browser and navigate to [MachineIP]:3000/info

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU DO NEED A SPECIAL PLEX APP (SAMSUNG) INSTALLED ON TV TO WORK.
