iDrive

Prerequisites

  • Docker installed
  • Own an account on IDrive.

Installation

  • Docker compose example:
  services:
    idrive:
      container_name: idrive
      image: taverty/idrive
      restart: always
      privileged: true
      volumes:
        - $CONFIGDIR:/opt/IDriveForLinux/
        - $ETCDIR/idrivecrontab.json:/etc/idrivecrontab.json
        - $BACKUPDIR:/home/backup:ro
        - /etc/timezone:/etc/timezone:ro
        - /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro
  • Notice the privileged: true above.
  • $CONFIGDIR points to your local path for idrive config files. Necessary for persist account settings.
  • $ETCDIR persistent copy of the schedule file. Be sure to create an empty idrivecrontab.json file before starting the container. This file needs to persist between startups.
  • $BACKUPDIR points to the local path you need to backup.
  • Optional timezone mappings, set to America/New_York in dockerfile

First Run

  • Exec into container: docker exec -it idrive /bin/bash
  • cd /opt/idrive
  • Run ./idriveforlinux.bin --install
  • Enter user and password.

After initial Run (Used to make config changes after initial install above)

  • Exec into container: docker exec -it idrive /bin/bash
  • cd /opt/IDriveForLinux/bin
  • Run ./idrive

That's it!

  • If setup correctly container will automatically connect to iDrive on boot.

Built and tested iDrive Scripts Version

  • 3.10.0
