Install as a POD inside Kubernetes. Very simple to deploy alpine based image with kubectl.

Usefull when you only have dashboard access to kubernetes but need something a bit more fully functional without connecting remote machines to the kubernetes host.
You can deploy this as a POD in any kubernetes cluster by simply deploying the YAML below:
apiVersion: v1
kind: Pod
metadata:
name: kubectl
namespace: default
spec:
serviceAccountName: admin-user
containers:
- name: kubectl
image: techss/kubectl:amd64-1.23.5
command:
- sleep
- "2147483648" # 2^31
Just make sure that you have a service account with all cluster role binding permissions set up that is called admin-user in the default namespace.
You can create one by following the steps here
Or you can deploy it as a deployment by using the yaml below:
kind: Deployment
apiVersion: apps/v1
metadata:
name: kubectl
namespace: kubernetes-dashboard
labels:
k8s-app: kubectl
spec:
replicas: 1
selector:
matchLabels:
k8s-app: kubectl
template:
metadata:
name: kubectl
labels:
k8s-app: kubectl
spec:
serviceAccountName: admin-user
serviceAccount: admin-user
containers:
- name: kubectl
image: techss/kubectl:amd64-1.28.1
