testsia13/pulsar-backend repository overview

PULSAR — Backend

Self-hosted, real-time network monitoring platform: Ping, MTR, Traceroute, HTTP, DNS, and TCP probes, with alerting, incident correlation, and route/ASN geo-analytics. No polling, no external SaaS dependency — your data stays on your own infrastructure.

This image is the FastAPI backend (REST + WebSocket API). The same image is also reused, unmodified, for the icmp-worker (the real ICMP/MTR/Traceroute worker, run with cap_add: NET_RAW) and gc-worker (retention/archival) services — same image, different command:.

🚧 Active development. Expect breaking changes between releases.

Full stack & docs

GitHub: https://github.com/testsia/pulsar-monitor

That repo has the docker-compose.yml, a one-command installer, and full setup instructions. This backend image is not meant to run standalone — it needs a TimescaleDB (Postgres 16) database and works together with the testsia13/pulsar-frontend image.
