⁠Methodology

This image was created by forking the Dockerfile which, as of of July 14, 2020, was used for the official Docker build of Drupal 8. I changed the URL and checksum used to download Drupal, so as to point to version 9.0.2. Yep, that's it. Probably. Unless this documentation is out of date...

Still, tread carefully. I don't monitor the upstream regularly to apply updates.

⁠Usage

To quickly spin up an ephemeral¹ Drupal 9 instance/container, which will be accessible via localhost:8080⁠, run the following command:

docker run --rm -p8080:80 textninja/drupal

If you want it to run in the background (daemonized), add the -d flag, i.e. docker run --rm -p8080:80 -d textninja/drupal
