An alpine linux image containing the mdbook executable.
mdbook is a tool used for generating documentation from markdown files. It's used to generate documentation, such as mdbook's own documentation here.
This container is primarily meant to be used as a build environment for documentation/books written using markdown. The container is built using alpine linux as a base in order to minimize the size of the container.
To use this container to build a mdbook, run the following command.
docker run --rm -v $(pwd):/data thefarwind/mdbook mdbook build /data
This repository is configured to build weekly. New versions of mdbook will be built with the latest version of rust once a week. If multiple versions of mdbook are released within a week, only the latest version will be built when the scheduled build triggers.
Note: Currently, caching of builds is not enabled for this scheduled builder. This results in a different image for every build, since empirical evidence indicates that the build of mdbook is not stable with respect to inputs.
The git repository for mdbook can be found here.
