Pull the image into a Docker environment:

Create a container:

This command will forward the internal port 6080 to the same port on the host machine. Inside the Docker container, a startscript (/usr/local/bin/startup.sh) is executed.

Now point the browser on your host system to:

and press "Connect". You should get a Fluxbox based X11 session.

To run visualization software like Visit or Blender, download these packages to your host system and unzip them (Ubuntu 64 Bit packages). Add a "-v" parameter to the "docker run" command to access these folders from inside the container:

Both Visit and Blender were tested successfully.
