Ubuntu based image with Elasticsearch setup to run within GNS3

Built primarily for use with a test Graylog2 topology within GNS3. The official Elasticsearch docker image would not run in GNS3 for a number of reasons. This one was set up to work around those issues.

Other notes:

The /usr/share/elasticsearch/config/elasticsearch.yml file will need to be modified to suit your own needs, particularly you will likely need to change the IP address. It is set as 10.10.10.30 for reasons of my test topology. Unless that is the IP of the node, the server will successfully start, but then stop when it is not able to bind to that IP. Simply modify the yml file above to match the IP you have assigned and restart the server with:

service elasticsearch start

Everything is set up to run out of /usr/share/elasticsearch - config/logs/data/run etc.

/usr/share/elasticsearch is persistent.

Note: If you run this in Docker use something like this:

docker run --name container-name -it tleemcjr/elasticsearch:latest sh -c "/bin/services.sh && bash"
