⁠Running Lock for Container

How to run Lock for Container in few simple steps

  • Download and install Docker free of charge
  • Pull the image and run the container
    • Using docker-compose
      1. Download compose file from Tosi web site⁠
      2. Run docker-compose up -d
    • or if you can't use compose-file, manually running equivalent commands
      • docker network create -d bridge --subnet="10.10.206.0/24" "tbnet" && docker volume create tosibox-lfc && docker run -d --restart=unless-stopped --name="tosibox-lock-for-container" --publish=8000:80 --publish=8443:443 --network="tbnet" --volume=tosibox-lfc:/etc/tosibox/docker_volume --cap-add=NET_ADMIN --cap-add=SYS_TIME --cap-add=SYS_PTRACE -h "tb-lfc" -e LICENSE_KEY="" tosibox/lock-for-container:latest
  • Access the management web interface at http://localhost:8000⁠ or https://localhost:8443⁠
  • Add static route to access the host device LAN. See Lock for Container user manual on Tosi Knowledge base⁠ for instructions.

⁠Upgrading Lock for Container

To upgrade Lock for Container to the latest

  • Shutdown and remove the old container and pull the new image and run the container
    • Using docker-compose
      1. Download compose file from Tosi web site⁠
      2. Run docker compose down
      3. Run docker compose up -d
    • or if you can't use compose-file, manually running equivalent commands
      • docker stop tosibox-lock-for-container
      • docker rm tosibox-lock-for-container
      • docker image rm tosibox/lock-for-container
      • docker run -d --restart=unless-stopped --name="tosibox-lock-for-container" --publish=8000:80 --publish=8443:443 --network="tbnet" --volume=tosibox-lfc:/etc/tosibox/docker_volume --cap-add=NET_ADMIN --cap-add=SYS_TIME --cap-add=SYS_PTRACE -h "tb-lfc" -e LICENSE_KEY="" tosibox/lock-for-container:latest

Ensure parameters for network and volume are the same that were used during the installation. License and settings are preserved as long as correct parameters are used.

⁠Activate for access

Tosi Lock for Container must be activated before you can create secure remote connections. An Activation Code from Tosi is required for operation. Contact Tosi sales at https://www.tosi.net/contact-us/⁠.

⁠Permanent secure connections

Add Tosi HUB to your infrastructure and turn it into a controlled network of always-on secure connections for remote maintenance, continuous monitoring, real-time data collection and data logging.

⁠Licensing

Tosi Lock for Container is free to install but requires license to create connections. Tosi Key⁠ or Tosi Mobile Client⁠ is required on the client side for direct point-to-point secure connection. Tosi HUB is required for complex networking configurations for continuous data collection and cloud-to-cloud connectivity.
