trappitsch/rimseval repository overview

The GitHub repo of the software can be found here for the package⁠ and here for the GUI⁠. If you are on Windows, please use the official installer from here⁠.

On Mac, there are some issues that I currently cannot debug. You should be able to use the docker container provided here to run it on Mac. The following instructions hopefully work (thanks to Jozo⁠).

1. Install Docker Desktop for Mac, see instructions here⁠
2. Install XQuartz⁠
3. In XQuartz: Check the option: XQuartz -> Preferences -> Security -> "Allow connections from network clients"
4. Run in terminal:

IP=$(ifconfig en0 | grep inet | awk '$1=="inet" {print $2}')
xhost +

1. Pull the docker image within terminal by running: docker pull trappitsch/rimseval
2. Run the docker image with the following command:

docker run --rm -it \
    -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix \
    -v $HOME:/home/qtuser \
    -e DISPLAY=$IP:0 \
    -u qtuser \
    trappitsch/rimseval

1. RIMSEvalGUI should start on your machine
